MDOT Program Office
The Michigan Department of Transportation has selected HNTB of Michigan to lead its ITS Program Office support team. The team will serve as an extension of the MDOT ITS staff led by Program Manager Greg Krueger. Functions of the Program Office include:
- - Review of Plans, Specifications and Estimates (PS&E) for MDOT ITS construction projects
- - Development of MDOT ITS Design, Construction and Integration Standards
- - Development of statewide ITS specifications
- - Development of Communication Master Plans for the I-94 and I-96 corridors
- - Peer review of the design and procurement of Advanced Traffic Management System (ATMS) software
- - Development of ITS Deployment guidelines and training by region
- - Establishment of ITS project funding for 3, 5 and 10 year program look ahead
- - As-needed or on-call services for the Program Manager

The Program Office staff will develop MDOT's ITS website and online publication to inform and update MDOT, the Consultant pool, ITS product vendors and the public on all news and events related to ITS in Michigan, the nation and the world. The website will also serve as a dissemination port for review of draft Special Provisions for MDOT, Consultant pool and vendors. Project reports and updates will appear on the site as well.
